Plus, usually by that point in the game I've having to deliberately bench pets because they're so awesome that they slaughter everything, thereby robbing my character of percious skill gains. Also, I generally go after god pets for platinum and related benefits, and juggling even more pets who do nothing but fight.I find it to be too much. The easy to get pets like your little girl have such a head start that by the time I'm even able to capture something cooler, it's not worth the time and effort tio capture and train up missing skills and so forth. But I've never found it especially worthwhile to go out of my way to tame obscure monsters. I imagine that finding a high enough level monster ball would be the hardest part. How hard is it to tame a t-rex or a dragon? Be careful not to add limbs you don't want. Skills can be "taught" to companions via genetic enginering. So you may as well offload your junk early on. Stores and shopkeepers take a long time to level, and until those gains have happened, they're probably not going to be proftiable regardless of what you're selling.

That said,so long as you have room you may as well sell everything you don't want regardless of how profitable it is. Ranches are less dependant on skill because you don't need to cook anything, but farms will have a higher overall capacity for making gold once you have it. Which of the two is better will depend on your skills and resources. Between Elona, E+, E+C and now I am hearing about E+C G, what are the differences, what are the strengths and weaknesses by comparison?Īs a practical answer, the best items are food items cooked by you, and/or brushed skins and related materials from a ranch.

I'm also curious what variant people on reddit most strongly recommend and why. Which menu options are even important? Can I teach them any skills or spells? How do I get my horse to stop drinking out of the well? Most importantly, how hard is it to tame a t-rex or a dragon?

I really love the companion system in this game but damn it is a bit convoluted at times and that's mixed with some often ambiguous translation, basically I am just looking for general advice from experienced players on how to best manage and utilize companion NPCs. Also is there any way to know for sure if something is considered "furniture" or not? Finally, does specializing a shop type mean you can only sell that type of item? I assume anything with "the whatever" as it's name is out at least in the beginning but I can't see why anything else would be excluded that isn't clearly mentioned like furniture. What sort of items are best to sell? It says higher value items require higher shop/shopkeeper level, but it's not very clear.
